The Problem:

Digitec Galaxus (DG) has been enjoying +25% year on year

growth. This growth has been managed by introducing more

people and more processes.

By 2022 these processes had expanded so much that they’d

become unproductive and unmanageable.

The Solution:

We worked with DG to introduce Sustainable Operational

Excellence (SOE®). This gave them the ability to solve many

of their day-to-day problems, as well as a basis for

rapid adoption of more specific lean philosophies.

Developing a strong 'shop-floor' maximised the potential of

their people, processes and facilities. Building confidence

and positive new habits has enabled people to solve existing

and emerging problems, whilst giving them greater pride in

what they do.

Routine daily problem solving just became “the way we do

thing around here”.

The Results:

• Operational performance increased by 56%, when

combined with some lean methods.

• Packing productivity increased by 17% in the first 6

months.

• Absence levels fell and accidents reduced by 39% in a

year.

• Employee satisfaction results increased by 40% uplift

where SOE® habits were adopted.

DG now its own internal cohort of SOE® coaches to ensure

these improvements continue to be sustained.
